• MVB Sprint Day is free to apply for and attend. Places are limited and eligibility does not guarantee a place.
• Friday attendance is strongly preferred but optional. Saturday attendance from 09:00 to 18:00 is compulsory for accepted attendees.
• One individual or team selected at the Event will receive £20,000 of non-cash Tramlines incubation support and a three-month incubation programme. They will also receive a fast-track opportunity to pitch to the Tramlines Investment Committee for a potential £250,000 equity investment. Investment is not guaranteed.
• You keep ownership of your application material and pre-existing intellectual property. Do not submit trade secrets, patent-sensitive material, or confidential information belonging to another person.

These terms govern your application for, selection for, and, if selected, attendance at MVB Sprint Day (the Event).

The Event is organised by Tramlines Ventures Ltd (company number 15660709) (Tramlines, we, us or our). Our registered office is Third Floor, 14 Clerkenwell Green, London, England, EC1R 0DP.

MVB Sprint Day is a programme where domain experts and founder-curious people work with the Tramlines team to take an early-stage business idea from concept to a Minimum Viable Business.

The Friday session includes a masterclass on validating an idea, market and willingness to pay. If you cannot attend Friday, this may affect your selection score, but does not prevent selection for Saturday.

On Saturday, Tramlines will provide a light breakfast, tea, coffee, light lunch, paper and pens. You may bring a laptop and monitor. The programme includes coaching, feedback and masterclasses from Tramlines senior leadership, final presentations to a Tramlines panel, and networking drinks and snacks after the Event.

Travel, accommodation, and any salary or stipend during incubation are not included.

To apply, you must:

1. be aged 18 or over;
2. be UK-based or able to attend in Farringdon, London on the Event dates;
3. apply individually or in a team of no more than three people;
4. be at idea stage, pre-revenue, or a very early-stage company with no institutional capital or external funding;
5. have a B2B or B2B2C idea or business; and
6. if selected for investment, have a UK-registered company or be willing to incorporate one in the UK.

Consumer-only businesses, biotech clinical trials and hardware-only businesses are not eligible. We strongly prefer applicants with 10 or more years of expertise in a specific sector. We are particularly interested in mature services being reshaped by AI; operational industries; and adjacent categories including FemTech, EdTech, ClimateTech, HR Tech and the future of work.

Solo founders, teams of up to three people, and applicants open to pairing on the day may apply.

Tramlines Ventures employees, contractors, direct advisers, portfolio-company employees, venue staff, and immediate employees of sponsors may not apply in their own name. Tramlines will consider any proposed team-member arrangement before confirming a place.

Applications open at 00:01 BST on 12 August 2026 and close at 23:59 BST on Saturday 19 September 2026. There is no fee, deposit, or purchase requirement.

By submitting an application, you confirm that you have read and agree to these terms and that the information you provide is accurate. If you apply as an employee, you are responsible for checking that your employment terms permit you to do so.

If you provide a co-applicant’s details, you must have their permission and tell them that Tramlines will contact them about the application. Each named co-applicant must accept an offered place personally. A lead applicant cannot accept a place for another team member.

An application is not a contract for a place. A contract for a place forms only when Tramlines confirms acceptance in writing and each named attendee accepts within three working days.

We may reasonably extend, reopen, suspend or close applications where this is necessary because of a serious technical failure, suspected abuse, a safety issue, or a similar operational problem. We will give prompt notice on the Event page and, where practicable, by email to applicants.

Places are limited. Tramlines will assess applications using these criteria, in order:

1. depth of sector domain expertise, with 10 or more years preferred;
2. fit with the Tramlines thesis, including B2B/B2B2C, UK company position and sector fit;
3. clarity and specificity of the idea or problem statement;
4. founder execution signal, including demonstrated ability to build or ship and prior progress;
5. team composition and complementarity, for team applications; and
6. commitment to the incubation phase if selected as the Winner.

The Tramlines senior leadership team will review applications using a shared rubric aligned to these criteria. Shortlisting is by team meeting. There is no random allocation. A reviewer must disclose a pre-existing relationship with an applicant before that application is considered.

No AI or automated tool decides whether you are accepted or rejected. Standard tools may be used to summarise applications for review, but Tramlines makes every final selection decision.

Successful applicants will be notified by email no later than Thursday 24 September 2026. If you believe there was a material error in the selection process, you may ask Tramlines to review that point by emailing leo.tyson@tramlines.com within seven days after notification. This is not a new assessment of the merits of your application.

Saturday attendance from 09:00 to 18:00, including final presentations, is compulsory. Networking from 18:00 to 19:00 is optional.

Tell Tramlines as early as possible if you cannot attend. Tramlines may offer the place to another suitable applicant. As there is no attendance fee, no ticket refund is due.

Tramlines may withdraw a place where it is reasonable to do so, including where you no longer meet a published eligibility condition, provided materially inaccurate information, or present a serious conduct or safety concern.

If you need a reasonable adjustment, tell Tramlines as early as possible, preferably by 26 September 2026. You may use the route stated in the application information or email leo.tyson@tramlines.com after acceptance.

You must follow the Code of Conduct, venue safety instructions and reasonable directions from the Tramlines team. Tramlines may issue a warning, remove you from the Event, or exclude you from future Tramlines programmes for a breach of the Code. It will act proportionately in the circumstances.

Tramlines may change, postpone, reschedule or cancel the Event where reasonably necessary. We will give prompt notice and take reasonable steps to reduce the effect on applicants and attendees.

The Event is free. No ticket refund is due if it is changed, postponed or cancelled. This does not affect rights that the law says cannot be excluded. Tramlines does not promise to reimburse travel, accommodation, lost income, preparation time, or other personal costs unless it agrees to do so in writing.

Neither party is responsible for a delay or failure to perform an obligation where it is caused by an event outside that party’s reasonable control despite reasonable steps to avoid or reduce its effect. This includes pandemic, government restriction, venue unavailability, fire, flood, or industrial action.

One individual or team selected at the Event (the Winner) will receive:

1. £20,000 of Tramlines incubation support in the form of non-cash services, including coaching, technical resource and commercial support;
2. a three-month incubation programme with the Tramlines team; and
3. a fast-track invitation to pitch to the Tramlines Investment Committee in January for a potential £250,000 equity investment.

The incubation programme is intended to start in the week after the Winner is announced, on Tuesday 13 October 2026. There is no direct cash payment to the Winner or to any non-winner under these terms.

The Tramlines senior leadership team will select the Winner using the selection criteria in section 5, applied to the work and presentations on the day. A reviewer with a pre-existing relationship with a participant must disclose it before taking part in the decision.

Any reference in public material to a “prize” means the Award in this section. The Investment Committee may consider an investment only after its usual diligence and approval process. An invitation to pitch is not an offer, commitment or guarantee that Tramlines will invest. Any investment is subject to separate investment documentation.

Four runner-up teams will each receive one or two proposed dates for a follow-up breakfast with the Tramlines team.

Tramlines does not take ownership of your application material or pre-existing intellectual property.

Before a team formed or matched during the Event shares non-public material or develops material together, all team members must agree their arrangements in a short written team agreement. It must cover each member’s pre-existing intellectual property, ownership and permitted use of material created together, contributions and decision-making, what happens if a member leaves, confidentiality, and dispute handling. Tramlines does not decide those arrangements or mediate disputes.

You grant Tramlines a non-exclusive, revocable, royalty-free, worldwide licence to use material that you submit and have authority to license. The licence is not sublicensable. Tramlines may use it only to assess your application, run the Event and keep internal records. The licence lasts for two years from the application date.

Tramlines will use and disclose application material only for those purposes. It may be accessed by Tramlines investment and operations personnel and, if you become an accepted attendee, by Tramlines Limited Partners, Investment Advisers, and a small number of external mentor partners where necessary for the Event. Tramlines may also use systems providers and professional advisers where reasonably necessary. External recipients are required to keep material confidential. This restriction lasts for two years from the application date, except for information already public other than through a breach of these terms, or where disclosure is required by law.

This section is not a formal non-disclosure agreement. Do not submit trade secrets, patent-sensitive information, confidential information belonging to another person, or material that you do not have the right to share.

Attendees must not take, copy, publish or share photos, audio, video, screenshots or recordings of another attendee or presentation without the permission of the people shown or presenting.

Tramlines will not use official photography or video for marketing at the Event unless it first puts in place an approved recording process and gives attendees the related privacy information.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by Tramlines’ negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that the law does not allow Tramlines to exclude or limit.

Subject to the previous paragraph, Tramlines is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of profit, business, opportunity, data or reputation, where that loss is not a direct and foreseeable result of Tramlines’ breach of these terms or negligence.

Nothing in these terms removes any legal rights that you have as a consumer.

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. This does not remove any mandatory protection that applies to you. The courts of England and Wales will have jurisdiction, subject to any mandatory right you have to bring a claim elsewhere.

If a court finds part of these terms unlawful or unenforceable, the rest will continue to apply. If Tramlines does not enforce a term immediately, that does not waive its right to enforce that term later.

Treat everyone at the Event with respect, regardless of gender, ethnicity, age, sexual orientation, disability, religion, background, experience or role. Discriminatory, harassing or abusive behaviour is not tolerated.

Engage constructively with your team, other attendees, mentors and the Tramlines team. Assume good intent, ask questions rather than interrupt, and support other founders in the room.

Do not disclose, copy, record, publish or use another participant’s non-public material outside the Event without their permission, except where disclosure is required by law. Do not make unauthorised photo, audio or video recordings of other attendees or presentations.

Alcohol may be available only to attendees aged 18 or over, at the venue and Tramlines’ discretion. It is not guaranteed. Drink responsibly. Illegal substances are prohibited. Look after the venue, other people’s laptops and equipment, and shared materials. Follow venue safety instructions and report damage, safety concerns, or illness to a Tramlines team member.

A serious or repeated breach of this Code may result in a warning, removal from the Event or exclusion from future Tramlines programmes. Tramlines will act proportionately. Serious matters, including harassment or illegal behaviour, may be reported to the appropriate authorities.

Tramlines will handle reports sensitively and share information only with people who need to know to address the concern, where reasonably possible, or where disclosure is required by law.
